Abstract

As client MR departments face encroachment from other business units that gather and process customer data they need to secure their position and prove their value. To do this, market researchers must integrate business data from myriad sources to provide a comprehensive, meaningful and actionable insights. This is the crucial challenge facing the industry during the next several months, according to the recently released Forrester report "Predictions 2011: What Will Happen in Market Research". As the industry does more listening and less asking, which data capture methods will prevail? How prominent will online communities be as a source of research?
